“New Quarterly Recipe Contest Crantastic Cookie Recipes”

We are thrilled to announce our newest recipe contest here at the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center!  The New year is here… what a crantastic opportunity to share new ways to incorporate cranberries into our year round baking. That’s why the theme for this quarter’s recipe contest is “Crantastic Cookie Recipes.”

Here’s how you can enter, just submit your crantastic cranberry cookie recipe your friends, family members, and co-workers have been raving over. Our judges are looking for scrumptious cookie recipes that feature cranberries in any form. As usual, the recipes you submit must also rate high in deliciousness!

The contest will run from January 1 through March 31.  The winners receive special prizes from the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center and will have their recipes published in our “Cranberry Chatter” newsletter and on our website.  Please use our online form to submit your recipe and be sure to include all information necessary to successfully recreate your recipe.  Our judges are anxiously awaiting your “Crantastic Cookie Recipe” submissions!

“Cooking Light with Cranberries” Recipe Contest Winners Announced

1st Place Cranberry Curried Chicken

1st Place FetaCran Wrap

“Cooking Light with Cranberries” proved to be a popular recipe contest!  We had many delectable entries to choose from – so many amazing recipes, in fact, that we had to pick FOUR winners instead of our usual three.  This is most definitely a win/win situation for those that submitted recipes and for you, dear reader.

Our contest participants were asked for recipes that were considered “light” – 500 calories or less per serving for the purposes of this quarter’s theme.  Of course, the finished product needed to use cranberries and be DELICIOUS despite their “light” status.  Congratulations to all four of our winners for tickling the tummies of our test kitchen tasters and thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a recipe.  And please, keep the recipes coming in our current recipe contest!  You continue to delight us with your creativity and general yumminess.

In a tie for first place are:

  • Donna Beck of Bonney Lake, WA for her “Spicy Fresh & Dried Cranberry Curried Chicken” and
  • Penny Langer of Camp Douglas, WI for her “FetaCran Turkey Wrap

In second place is: Lily Kayte of Gainesville, FL for her “Wilted Carrot Cranberry Slaw

And in third place is: Jayne Hanna of Mekoryuk, AK for her “Good for You Granola.”

All four of the winners will receive special prizes from the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center.  All the winning recipes can be viewed in full by clicking here: 2013 2nd Quarter Recipe Contest Winners
