I'm a third generation cranberry grower. I have always worked on and currently manage our cranberry marsh which was started by my grandfather in 1945. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Horticulture. I am a former board member of the WSCGA and the Cranberry Institute. I feel the cranberry industry has outstanding resources in its service organizations and the industry would not be what it is today without them. I have enjoyed working with these organizations and look forward to participating on the CMI board.
We still harvest part of our marsh as fresh fruit which we sell to our fall visitors to our gift shops, local cranberry festivals and local supermarkets. I feel education about the cranberry industry is important. We work with the local chambers to give fall cranberry tours and in addition have many school groups visit each year. |
