Cranberry Harvest Day!

Start your day at the Wetherby Cranberry Company marsh. Their walking tours during the Public Harvest Day gives visitors a chance to see cranberries being harvested whether there is rain, shine or snow. They set aside several beds each year for this occasion and try to show several different stages of harvesting taking place. You will be able to take pictures and videos of cranberries being harvested and have all your cranberry questions answered.  Family members of the Wetherby Cranberry Company will be your personal guides to explain what you are seeing and answer all other questions you have. The packaging warehouse will be open and fresh cranberries will be available to be purchased. Tour costs $10.00 per person.  Located at 3365 Auger Road, just off County Hwy. Ew, 4 miles East of the Village of Warrens.

Following your tour of the Wetherby Cranberry Company head to the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center, housed in a historic cranberry sorting warehouse. Catch the aroma of cranberries… as you see, touch and taste Wisconsin’s No. 1 fruit crop. The Discovery Center’s 4,800-square foot exhibit hall details the history of the state’s cranberry industry from the days when Native Americans gathered fruit in the wild to today’s unique growing and harvesting methods. Items on display include a 150-year-old dugout canoe found on a nearby cranberry marsh, a log cabin used by a local carpenter for making cranberry hand rakes and one of the first cranberry harvesting machines. Our vintage ice cream parlor area offers handmade artisan ice cream with 12 different flavors featuring cranberries. The boutique gift shop offers Wisconsin-made gourmet food products, and cranberry glass. Located at 204 Main Street in the Village of Warrens.
