Cranberry Orange Spice Tea Scones

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (cut up)
  • 2/3 Cup Buttermilk
  • 2 Orange and Spice Herb Tea Bags (opened and tea removed)
  • 1 Cup Dried Plain or Orange Flavored Cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare baking sheet.

In a medium bowl, combine flour,baking powder,baking soda, salt and sugar. Mix in butter with hands until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk until moistened. Stir in dried tea and cranberries.

Turn out onto a floured baord and knead 6 times or until tea is thoroughly distributed. Pat into 8 inch circle and cut into 8 wedges. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Tranfer to baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven to cool.
