Craisins & Nut Bread

  • 1 1/2 Cup Craisins
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Grated Orange Rind
  • 3/4 Cup Orange Juice
  • 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts

Soak Craisins for 30 minutes. Drain cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs and add alternately with orange juice. Add dry ingredients. Add nuts and orange rind. Pour into lined loaf pan (9 in x 5 in x 2 in). Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 10.

This is delicious toasted and buttered. Serve with coffee, tea, or milk.
